Sync WST to Strava on Android phone

I have a Samsung Galaxy 24+. I would like to sync the sessions I record with WST to Strava (from WST to Strava), but it seems that this is (not yet possible). I have already searched in the different categories but see nothing (recent) on this topic.

Hi Fraanske,
thanks for your message! Strava export or sync isn’t available yet — you’ve got that right. It’s not on the current roadmap yet, but if there’s enough demand from the community, it’s definitely something to consider.
Is anyone else interested in this too? Reply or vote below — that way we can gauge how strong the demand is.

Hey Matthias,

Thanks for your quick response. While we’re at it: I use Strava to sync with my Samsung Health app. I can enable this from my Samsung app, but not WST (yet). I suspect there are many more Samsung Health users than Strava users, so perhaps synchronization with Samsung Health would be at least as interesting for you?
Regards,

Frans

Hi Matthias and Fraanske. I’m tracking my sessions with a Samsung Galaxy Watch Ultra and would love to be able to sync them to Samsung Health / Strava. I’ve also connected Samsung Health to Strava.

I’ve just returned to Windsport-tracker after using another app for a while (which is synced with Strava). Am I correct in understanding that the best way for me to get the data into Strava right now is to download the session from WindsportTracker and import it manually to Strava?

Hi!

Yes, that’s currently the correct approach — download the session as GPX and import it manually to Strava. Make sure to use GPX 1.1.

Direct Strava sync is on our roadmap — it’s been requested by several users and we’re tracking demand for it.

I’d be interested too. Thanks and best wishes!

The sync to Strava isn’t really that important because that’s easy to do with the GPX 1.1 file as well. It’s just a shame the kcal aren’t correct. Is there any way to add that to the file? Are there maybe some details missing? Body weight, age, height, gender?

Hi Matthias, I workesd theother way around: Ik recorded my sessions in Strava. I made connection between Strava and Sumsung Health (auto sync. ), so I could see my tracks there as well. And from there there was the auto exchange to WST. Recently i’ve bougt a Garmin, so a lot has changed

@Omar
Body weight, age, and similar personal data aren’t in WST yet — that’s planned but not in the current version. For Strava specifically, that info is better defined directly in your Strava profile anyway.

Calorie tracking isn’t something WST currently supports. If that’s important to you, please open a separate feature request so others can vote on it.

So with Garmin you can also connect it with Strava.
SO Garmin sync your data to WST and to Strava, does that make sense?
