Aloha, So I’ve been using the new version with some better results than the last…How ever lately every time I press the red record button and put my Pixel10a android phone in its waterproof case and go Wing foiling I think I’m recording my session…But when I come in and press to stop session it says session too short and there is nothing in the logbook. This has been happening everytime lately and I don’t know how to correct it…thanx

When you get “session too short” with nothing in the logbook, it usually means the app couldn’t save any track points. There are a few possible reasons, so let’s narrow it down together.
First, the most useful thing you can do: you already have these failed sessions on your phone. Could you archive one of them in the app and send the file to support@sunbits.de? That lets me look at exactly what happened instead of guessing.
A few things to check in the meantime:
- Version: Make sure you’re on at least 2.0.21 — 2.0.22 is the latest.
- Background activity & battery: Allow WindsportTracker to run in the background and disable battery optimization for the app. This is less commonly an issue on Pixel, but it can still happen.
- Notifications: Check that notification permission is granted for the app — the recording relies on it.
- Phone position: One thing that can affect GPS is where the case sits during your session. If it’s tucked under your wetsuit or vest, the neoprene can weaken the signal. Carrying it on an outer layer, like the upper arm, usually gives a cleaner fix.
