You can record your sessions even if your phone, Wear OS, or Apple Watch does not have an internet connection. Follow the steps below to ensure everything works smoothly.
Recording Offline on Your Phone
- Log in before going offline
Make sure you are logged into your account while you still have an active internet connection β before entering an area without coverage. - Opening the app offline
If you open the app without internet access, you will remain logged in.
You wonβt see your Logbook and may see an error screen β this is expected behavior while offline. - Start recording
Once the app is open, simply press the record button.
Your session will be recorded normally. - Stop recording
When finished, stop the session as usual.
- The session will appear in the local session list (above the sport and discipline selection).
- You may see a message that the session could not be transmitted β this is normal while offline.
- Your session is safely stored on your device.
- You can close the app without any risk.
- Reconnect to the internet
Once you have internet access again, open the app.
Your session should sync automatically. - Manual sync (if needed)
If the session does not sync automatically:
- Go to the Local Sessions / Recording screen
(top circular arrow icon or record button at the bottom right). - Locate your session.
- Tap the double-arrow icon next to the session to upload it manually.
Recording with Wear OS or Apple Watch (Offline)
Follow steps 1β4 above. Then continue with:
4.1 Ensure your watch is within Bluetooth range of your phone.
4.2 Open the app on your watch.
Ideally, syncing will start automatically.
4.3 If automatic sync does not start:
- On Wear OS: swipe left.
- On Apple Watch: swipe down.
You will see the list of local sessions stored on the watch.
You can trigger manual sync from there.
4.4 After the watch has synced to your phone, make sure your phone has internet access and continue with step 5 above to upload the session to your account.
Important Notes
- Offline recording works fully β no data is lost.
- Sessions are stored locally until a connection is available.
- You can safely close the app at any time after stopping the recording.
- Manual sync is always available if automatic sync does not trigger.
