Checking today’s session and polar chart missing data from 270-360 deg. Was pushing for VMG both tacks up wind
The polar chart shows a symmetric course distribution (blue area) on both port and starboard (similar to what you mentioned where you sailed), but it is not equally close to the wind on both sides ( as you mentioned you sailed equally on both sides). This indicates that the automatically calculated wind direction is incorrect.
The automatic calculation is generally difficult, especially in changing conditions. I’m already working on an improvement, but a 100% solution won’t be possible – wind is simply too variable.
What you can do now: Go to edit session → scroll down to the compass → activate edit mode → adjust the wind direction manually. After that the polar chart should look correct.
