No speed in the equipment

Hello,
For some time now, the speeds no longer appear in the equipment statistics, even though they are present in the sessions.

Théo

Hi Theo,

Do you record sessions with the app?
If so, can you send me a GPX file of a session that has the problem?

If not, what device do you use to record your sessions?

I record with a Xiaomi Watch Lite smartwatch, transfer the traces to Strava, then to WST. I didn’t have any issues before. I’m sending you the trace by email (support@sunbits.de)

Thank you
Théo

I looked at the folder.
The problem is that there are no speed values.
Therefore, Windsporttracker must calculate them. However, it is very inaccurate. For this reason, the maximum speed of these sessions is not included in the statistics.

Is there another possibility for export? Maybe directly from the watch?

With the new version currently in development, this problem will be solved, but it will take time.

I’m sorry I don’t have a better solution for now.

Hello,

I’m still having the same problem with GPX files imported from Polar Flow.
I sent you a file by email.

Thank you,
Théo

Hello Theo,

I’ll look at the file tomorrow or the day after and get back to you.

Regards

Hello Theo,

The problem is unfortunately the same as in October. The GPX files do not contain speed data. The calculation is unfortunately very imprecise. That’s why I decided to display them in individual sessions but not in the statistics. If a speed were significantly incorrect, it would make your statistics impossible to clean up.

A solution to this problem would be to use Polar’s FIT files. Currently, you would need to manually convert them from FIT to GPX using GPS Babel http://www.gps-babel.org.

I’m already working on a new version that will support FIT files directly and will also solve this problem.

I hope the GPS Babel solution will be acceptable to you until I finish the new version in a few weeks.

Best regards

Hello and thank you for your response. Polar offers TCX and CSV files but not FIT format.

Théo

Hello

Okay, thank you for the advice, I will also offer TCX support.

The manual solution described via gpsbabel also works with TCX files.

I am working hard on the new version.

The new version will also be announced accordingly. So it should not be confused with any minor bug fixes in the current version.
