Hi. I have just change to a new mobile phone. My old device is dead. How can I restore my sessions?. Thanks
Hi,
when you say your old device is dead, does it mean you have no chance to connect to it any more?
Did you made any backups to Google drive dropbox or so on?
If not, I#m really sorry but in this case your sessions are lost. Version 1 of the app just stores on the device and only supports backups if you manually did it (with export or share session function)
version 2, which is already in beta will have an automatic sync.
Too bad, I just sank my phone in the Strelasund. Do you already have a schedule for when version 2 will be released? I’m really looking forward to being able to better adjust the wingfoil parameters. Fuselage, front and backfoil, mast, etc. Thank you for the great work!
Hey,
It’s coming in August.
Do you have a watch? Garmin, Suunto, Polar, or Coros?
I have a Sony SafeTrx watch, but it doesn’t export the data. I can view my data on the website. To export the data, I first have to be redirected to Strava and download the Data File there. That’s why I took the phone directly with your app until I sank it.
It’s very unfortunate that SafeTrx doesn’t offer an export option. Then it will only be possible through the Strava detour in version 2 as well.
Out of curiosity, what case did you use when you lost your phone?
I’ve had very good experiences with Fidlock cases so far. The chest pocket is very secure, but it’s not the most optimal position, so I usually use the arm pocket. I always make sure there’s air in the pocket so that in case something happens, there’s hope the pocket will float and not sink.
I sank exactly this Fidlock arm case. It worked fine for sure 50 times while wingfoiling, but this time it was gone. I’ve now also got the chest pocket. It’s a bit like a backpack. It’s inconvenient when sliding up onto the board, but otherwise a great invention.
Ah ok, that’s a shame.
The chest pocket helps you learn how to get on the board without slipping. It helps later when you’re kiteboarding that the hook doesn’t come onto the board.
