Make sure all permissions and notifications for the WST app are allowed:

Background and battery optimization
The app must be allowed to run in the background and must not be restricted by battery optimization:

Good signal reception
Stable recording depends on good reception:

Wearing the device under the wetsuit can reduce signal quality

Prefer wearing a watch over the wetsuit

Or a phone in a case over the wetsuit, ideally on the upper arm
