Tried to export all sessions, the app just crashes.
Using the latest version on Android.

Is the single session export working and just the export is all causing issues?
Does it crash immediately or does this happen gradually over time?
What kind of phone do you have?
“single session export” also not working, just nothing happens and I see the list of session in the app

could you try to also share a session? here you need to press sometimes more times until the share dialog opens.
have you checked the permissions of the app? The app needs to have the write permission to the filesystem / document storage?
Which Android Version do you have?
Indeed, sharing a session sometimes requires multiple taps. But at least the app does not crash when sharing.
The app has permission to “modify or delete the contents of your shared storage” and “read the contents of your shared storage”.

I believe you should see all the crashes of the app in Android Developer console, with all the details.

It looks like the app crashes immediately when you tap “Share All,” but sharing the latest session works fine. That suggests the issue might be with one of the older sessions.
Could you try exporting the oldest session, or maybe the three oldest ones, individually? It would help to know if the crash happens with a specific session.
Also, did you create any sessions manually (i.e. without recording, directly in the app)? That might be relevant too.
Unfortunately, I can’t automatically see crash reports. I can only access them if users actively share them — this is due to EU privacy laws. If you’re willing to help, you can enable crash reporting in your phone’s privacy settings. (Note: This applies to the whole phone, not just this app.)
If you do that and share the crash report, I’ll hopefully be able to get a more detailed analysis of what went wrong.

Yes I might have a couple of manually created sessions. But I don’t remember which ones
In total I have 357 “days” recorded, maybe that’s too much
Could you clarify whether the export isn’t working just for the first sessions or for all of them?
For single session export, there are two options:
- Using the Share button.
- Using the Export function from the top-right menu.
Did you try the Export function, and nothing happened? In other words, did the file picker dialog not appear to let you choose where to save the file?
If that’s the case, please make sure all required permissions are granted to the app (especially storage or file access permissions, depending on your Android version).
If the export function doesn’t crash the app but also doesn’t do anything, it means there’s likely no crash report available. In that case, it would be very helpful if you could send me the following details:
- Your phone model
- Android version
- App version
This information could help me reproduce and identify the issue.
If the file picker doesn’t show up at all, it’s very likely a permissions issue.
It was probably some problem with file picker on my phone.
It behaved weirdly with some other apps (but they did not crash).
I did factory reset for the phone and now export in WindSportTracker works as expected.
Sadly, I lost all the session data.

Good to know it is solved. but sad that you lost all the sessions.
It will also explain why I haven’t seen any crash report, if the issue is caused by Filepicker it went there.
V2 will arrive soon, that will survive factory reset and restore your session
