Compte windsport tracker

Hello,

Due to a mobile change without being able to copy my data from the old device to the new one, I unfortunately lost everything (session history, equipment, etc…)
I could redo everything by importing the sessions one by one from Suunto, but it’s rather tedious.

I’m therefore looking for a way to be sure to recover them if I find myself in the same situation again.

I also have a small bug where speeds don’t appear in the global statistics but are present in individual sessions.

Thank you in advance for the answers.

Hello

I’m sorry you lost all your data.
I’m aware of the issue and am already working on a new version that will resolve this problem.

Is there a possibility to export all Suunto sessions?

If that’s possible, the rest is fairly simple. Otherwise, you’ll need to start by exporting each session separately.

Once you have all the sessions, there are two options.

First option, you can import them directly, which has the disadvantage of not displaying maximum speeds in the statistics.

Option 2, you need to download TCX files. You then convert them to GPX format using GPSBabel.org. There’s an option to do this automatically for all files.

To check options 1 and 2, you can also send me a single file, and I can verify which option is best.

For option 2, you need to know how to use the shell or terminal on your computer.
You can also put all the sessions in a zip archive and send it to me, and I can convert them all for you.

Once all sessions are available in the correct file format, save them to Google Drive or Dropbox or another service.

Once all files have been uploaded, open the Google Drive or Dropbox app on your mobile phone.
Now select all the sessions and share or send them to the WindsportTracker app.

The selected sessions will now be imported one by one. If there are many sessions, it’s better to import them in small groups, for example 20 at a time.

This may seem complicated, but it isn’t.

Does this help?

In version 2 of the app, there will eventually be a direct connection to Suunto as well. Unfortunately, this will take a bit more time, as I first need to finish the version itself.

Sorry for the delayed response but thank you for your reply.
I haven’t been able to look into the issue at the moment but I’m getting back to it.

How can I send you the different files I can retrieve from Suunto to see the best way to retrieve the sessions in the cleanest way possible?

From Suunto, the export to Windsport tracker doesn’t seem to be working, when I click on the application to send it, the application opens but does nothing.

Thank you in advance for your help.
I’m looking forward to having direct connectivity with my watch because I find the app really good, well done!

Hello
No problem.
The best way is to send me the files by email at: support@sunbits.de

If Suunto can send FIT or TCX files, they are already supported by version 2 (coming soon). Otherwise, I will still integrate the Suunto format.
