Android V2 is coming :rocket:

Important information you need to know

Android V2 is a completely new version, not just a regular update.

1. Account required

V2 requires you to create an account.

Why is an account needed?

  • You can use the app on multiple devices
  • Your data is automatically synced
  • No more manual export/import when changing or using multiple phones

2. V2 is no longer free

To enable multi-device usage, a reliable backend infrastructure is required, which causes ongoing costs.
In addition, development takes a lot of time and effort.

A small fee is therefore necessary to:

  • cover infrastructure costs
  • ensure future development
  • maintain the high quality of the app
  • keep the app completely ad-free

We continue to focus on quality first and only implement features that make sense — not features just for monetization.

If you do not want to upgrade, please disable auto-updates for this app in the Google Play Store.

3. Data protection & privacy

Your privacy is very important to us.

  • All data is stored in a German data center
  • German and EU data protection laws (GDPR) are fully complied with
  • All data belongs exclusively to you
  • Your data is not analyzed, not sold, and not shared with third parties

4. Data migration

When you install V2 and start the app for the first time:

  1. You will be asked to create an account or log in
  2. The data migration will start automatically
  3. Once logged in, your data will be synced to your account

:warning: Important:

  • The migration may take some time
  • Do NOT close the app while the migration is running

5. Web version available

You can already try V2 in your browser:

Please note: Session recording is not possible via the web version.

6. End of support for V1

V1 will no longer be maintained.

Why?
Google requires regular updates to keep apps available.
Continuing V1 would require constant maintenance, and these forced updates were one of the main reasons for the delay of V2.

7. New features in V2

V2 comes with many new features, including:

  • Web & tablet support for better analysis on large screens
  • Android Wear OS support
    Record sessions directly with your smartwatch — no export/import needed
  • New analysis algorithms
  • Tack analysis
  • Wave analysis
  • Multiple sports with multiple disciplines
