Hi,

My name is Guislain. I am French, but I have been living in the Pacific Northwest in the United States for the past 30+ years, specifically in central WA where I do most of my windsurfing north of The Gorge at Vantage, where the Columbia River runs North-South and the prevailing winds are strong & steady NW thermals 10 out of 12 months of the year.

I started wind-surfing in 1978, when I was 16yrs old in the Normandy beach town of Agon-Coutainville.

Almost 50 years later, I do 90% wind-surfing and 10% wind-foiling.

My favorite wind-surfing spot is Bonaire where I have gone 3 times. The warm, turquoise, chest-high lagoon of Lac Bay is ideal for practicing whatever is my next challenge, and I attended Nico Prien’s NP7 Bonaire Experience in Dec’25.

In 2026, I was lucky enough to watch Défi Wind in Gruissan, France. What an amazing experience! Perhaps, I’ll register some day…
