Feature Request: Would be great if WST supported replay (or playback) of GPS trace from the completed sessions. I really like to replay my GPS traces to inspect my wave riding (on wing foil) from my completed session (this is next best thing to having someone film my entire session … which is not happening, unfortunately). Currently, I export my WST sessions as GPX, upload to my laptop and play them back in Google Earth Pro. This works well but is several extra steps. THANKS FOR THE GREAT APP!!! ---

thank you very much for the great feedback. It’s a nice idea. I will add it. Downside, I’m still working a very big update of the app, that still need some time and needs to be finished first. The changes i do there will allow such features as you wish and there will be a lot more to come, time by time. hope you can wait a bit. ---

Session replay is **live** as of **v2.0.25** — you can now play back the GPS trace of any session right in the app. Give it a try and let us know how it works for wave riding on wing foil specifically. ---

This new feature is fabulous, congratulations and thank you! 2 suggestions for improvement: 1. Being able to start playback from the selected point. Right now, playback always starts from the beginning. 2. When the track repeatedly passes through the same spot, playback doesn’t show the movement clearly, because it overlaps with the past track. It would be great if the track older than X seconds faded away as it goes. ---

Thanks noted, straight in: Re 1: You can already jump to any point — pause playback, then press and hold on the speed chart to drag the position, and it’ll continue from there. I’ll look into whether starting from a preselected point directly is feasible too, but no promises. The current approach was a deliberate choice since it works consistently across iOS, web, and Android. Re 2: I’m looking into the fade-out for older track segments, also weighing performance on older/weaker devices. Can’t promise anything here either. ---

Hi Matthias, Session replay sounds like a great new v2 feature, but I don’t see a play button. How do I replay a session from the app itself? Apologies for the basic question, Guislain ---

maybe the screen is a litte to small, so either move your phone to landscape mode, or open the map full screen mode (the icon/button on the top right corner on the map) with the next update, I will allow to show up the cockpit with the play buttons on slightly smaller screens even without full screen. ---

The playback controls are part of the cockpit, which is currently turned off in your setup. To enable it, open the map settings and turn on two things: 1. **Point tracking** – the compass icon 2. **Cockpit** – the speedometer icon, to the right of the compass Point tracking shows the values at the current position of your track. With the cockpit turned on, those values appear in the cockpit instead of on the compass rose on the map. The playback controls are only available in cockpit mode.
