# Any plans on supporting the GPY format?

Hi, are you familiar with the relatively new GPY format?

In the speedsurfing community an open source GPS speedlogger (ESP-GPS-Logger) is being used. Due to legal and storage-efficiency reasons another format was developed to store GPS tracks.  
It would be nice if the Windsporttracker app would support this.

Here is a Java implementation of the format:

NB. I’m not related to any of these projects. Just a user of the Windsporttracker app and the ESP-GPS-speedlogger! Of course I could use SBP, but it is a little less accurate and requires more storage space.

Hi,

I can add support for this file format later.  
I think the format itself isn’t new.it is very similar to SBP.

But before added it V2 need to be finished first.

GPY format is supported in the V2 version (2.x.x) onwards.
